We collect the following, and nothing beyond it:

• Account information. Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the name and profile image on your Google account. We do not store passwords; sign-in uses a one-time email link or Google OAuth.
• Business information you provide. Details you enter about your company during intake and ongoing work: business name, industry, offers, pricing, goals, systems you use, and materials you upload or link.
• Financial account information. Only if you choose to connect a bank account. See Section 3.
• Communications. Emails, form submissions, and — where you have been told a call is recorded — call recordings, transcripts, and summaries.
• Technical information. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected through ordinary server logs and used to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect government identification numbers, health information, or biometric information through this application.

• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

We do not use your information to train third-party artificial intelligence models for their own purposes, and we do not make decisions producing legal effects about you by automated means alone.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to run the service:

We may also disclose information where required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of you, us, or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction; we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

We retain information only as long as we need it:

• Raw financial transaction data: not retained as a standing copy. Retrieved as needed and discarded after the report or calculation it supports is produced.
• Derived financial figures (reports, compensation calculations) and account connection identifiers: for the life of the engagement, then 7 years where needed as a business and tax record.
• Account and business information: for the life of the engagement, then deleted within 12 months unless you ask sooner.
• Communications and call records: 24 months.
• Server and security logs: 12 months.

You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@differenthunger.com. We act on deletion requests within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires, and confirm when it is done. This policy is reviewed at least annually.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, obtain it in a portable format, withdraw consent, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither), and appeal a decision we make about your request.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@differenthunger.com. We will verify your identity through the email address on your account before acting. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. California residents may designate an authorized agent. Residents of the European Economic Area and United Kingdom may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher. Data at rest is encrypted with AES-256. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel using multi-factor authentication and least-privilege credentials. Bank access tokens are held encrypted and are never exposed to your browser or to any third party other than Plaid.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact security@differenthunger.com immediately.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your display preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies in this application. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though sign-in will not work without the session cookie.

This application is for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

We operate in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States. If you access the application from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed there, where data protection law may differ from the law of your country.

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. If a change materially affects how we handle financial account information, we will notify you by email before it takes effect, and where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
