Welcome to how to maximize your value per day. In this video I'm going to explain to you how to make sure that every single day is filled with the most valuable possible activities that you are constantly working on things that will bring tremendous long-term value into your business and never, ever wasting your time spinning on the hamster wheel of low-value tasks and lack of momentum that so

many freelancers and new agency owners just never get off of. So how does this fit into our metaphor? Here's how I would frame it. Are you using the highest octane fuel for your speedboat? Are you filling it with the thing that's going to produce the most forward momentum? In other words, are you tearing up? Are you absolutely tearing up the waves behind you and blazing ahead at

full speed? And if not, why not? This video is going to show you how. So that's how I would tie it into the metaphor. Now, here's the problem. A lot of entrepreneurs either ask this question or don't ask this question, which is even worse, but the question is how much long-term value am I actually creating today or this week? You know, am I actually working on something

that's going to give me the life and the business that I want? Am I doing something that matters? Am I doing something important? Am I going to move the needle with this activity, with the day that I have planned today? Am I spending my time in the most valuable possible way? A lot of entrepreneurs ask this question, and they just throw up their hands. They're like, I

have no clue. I don't even know where to begin answering that question. You know, I know sales is important, and I know I should have some systems, and I know I should probably hire people, and I don't really know which of those is the most valuable or when to focus on each of them, or should I be writing copies? Should I be scheduling content for social media?

Should I be sending up meetings with potential team members? There's so many questions, and without a sense of which ones bring the most value into your business and which ones you should be focusing on when you're just going to be clueless in loss, which is where most entrepreneurs are. And part of being an entrepreneur is being constantly clueless in loss, so don't think that's a bad starting

point. That's actually how entrepreneurs constantly operate. At some point, we figure things out, and we get them under our belt, so that's what's happening to you in this video in the domain of producing as much value as possible. That's the first problem. How much long term value am I actually creating today? How about this week? Here's the next problem. How do I know that I'm spending my

time on the things that I should be spending my time on? So this is similar. How do I know that the activities that I did today were things that I should have done? How do I know that I'm using my talents, my abilities, my strengths, my gifts, my experience in the most valuable possible way? How do I know that I'm not wasting it when I could be

doing something more important? And the third problem is sort of a corollary of this. How do I know what to delegate an outsource and what to focus my precious time on? So that's similar because once you know what the most valuable activities are, you also know what the most valuable activities aren't. But a lot of times, they still have to get done because they're for clients or

something like that, so you need to outsource them or delegate them, so you can spend your time selling or doing something more important instead. But first, you need to know. You need to know what you should delegate an outsource and what you should focus your precious time and your gifts on. That's the problem. Now here's the solution. Here's the outcome. Each day is packed with activities that

you know build long-term value, and each week is practically exploding with value. On a daily basis, you're working on extremely important pivotal long-term tasks and projects and you're making a significant progress, you're building this legacy, you're building long-term momentum, you're sailing across this blue ocean, and each week is just exploding with value. Each week, you make leaps and bounds in your business in a particular area. You're

just incredibly, incredibly focused. So that's the first outcome. Next you know exactly what to spend your time on. You know exactly how to push your business forward, and you spend your time almost exclusively on these needle-moving tasks, these tasks that push your business forward and give you the life that you want. You know exactly what to spend your time on, and you have a crystal clear understanding

of what to outsource and delegate so that you generate more value in your business. You know exactly what you should be spending your time on. And you know exactly what you shouldn't be spending your time on, and you are spending nearly all your time on those valuable things and outsourcing and delegating the rest with crystal clarity. So that is the outcome. Now I want to explain to

you value buckets. So this is the first answer to that question. How do I maximize my value per day? The answer is a tool called value buckets. And depending on the size of your business, you're going to have four different buckets. And these are buckets of value for different classes of activities. So any given activity that you do to work on your business is going to fall

into one of these categories. And these dollar amounts you see here are per hour. So if you are in this program and are trying to go from 1k or more per month to 10k or more per month, then your business, your agency is in the startup stage. So this means that some tasks you do are going to be low value and their value is going to be

about $10 per hour. Some are going to be medium low value and their value is going to be about $50 per hour. Some are going to be medium high value with about $250 per hour. And some of them are going to be high value with $1,000 per hour. Now how do you gauge these? Well, I'm going to break down a lot of specific examples. But the best

rule of thumb is if you had to hire somebody to do this for you, as well as it needs to be done, how much would you have to pay per hour? So that's the rule of thumb. And you'll see how this applies. So the other thing I want to mention is we're going to be calculating your daily value. There's a worksheet along with this that's going to

show you how to go through and calculate your value you produce every day. And it's also going to show you how to derive your target number, how much value you want to produce per day, from your revenue goals. So you know that you're working on enough value producing activities. And the sort of eerie thing about this is that whatever your daily value is, on average, tends to

show up in your bank account in about three months' time. So it's actually quite a good metric, quite a good gauge for making sure that you're on course. So these are how value buckets work. You don't really need to worry about the rest of them unless you get out of the startup stage and you're trying to hit like 50k, 100k per month, then you can get into

the ramp up stage. And for now you can just focus on the startup stage. So that's how value buckets work. Now I'm going to go through and give you a bunch of specific examples. So first of all, let's start with the low value tasks. These are tasks that are in the $10 per hour bucket. So you'd have to pay, you know, you can get these done for

$10 or so per hour. So these are things like sending emails, setting up phone calls, transcribing, reordering supplies, inventory, if your business is anything physical, some video editing work, some graphics work, popping data entry, cold calling, most social media, filing, organizing, administration, bank deposits, bookkeeping, cleaning, some types of research, some writing tasks, editing a website, stocking or folding inventory again if you have anything physical. So these

are low value tasks. These tasks, you can pay somebody to do them for $10 per hour. But you should not really ever do them unless you can and you want to, unless you have free time and you want to fill this with it. Or unless you literally don't have any money, but that's never really quite the case. So you really don't want to ever do these unless

you want to, or unless you have a very good reason to. Next, we have low to medium value tasks. So these are going to cost about $50 per hour to outsource. They're going to bring about $50 per hour into your business. So we have outsourcing delegating some simple tasks, reviewing financial numbers, building relationships with suppliers or for an agency rather than suppliers. This could be partners, legal

work, blogging or content creation, quality control, coding or UI UX development. So this is if you have like a web dev firm or something or an app firm or something like that, talking to a qualified prospect, so this would be the 15 minute qualification called some graphics, some website editing, some video editing or filming, servicing an existing client, writing emails to prospects or customers and creating marketing

tests and experiments and creating some processes, some simple processes. So these tasks, these are tasks again that you shouldn't really be doing unless you have a good reason to. You know, they're not quite as bad as like filing or administrative work or something like that because they do bring some value into the business, but not a lot. So again, try to avoid these as much as possible.

Unless you just, you know, if you love say graphics and you just really want to make that a part of your life, then you can use some of your, you know, you can engineer your business so that you only work, you know, 10 hours a week and then you can spend 10 hours a week doing graphic design just because it's fun, even though it doesn't bring a

lot of value into the business or something like that. But you should, you should be coming from a place of power, of being able to reinsert yourself into wherever you want. So you choose graphics. You shouldn't, you know, you shouldn't consciously be spending time on this because you have to. Okay. Now we have medium high value tasks. So we're getting into tasks that you should be spending

time on. These bring $250 per hour on average into your business. If you're in the startup stage and they're pretty valuable. So these are things like establishing brand guidelines, some negotiating, some PR or publicity, some more complex processor system creation, some higher level UI UX design, interviewing team members or subcontractors, sales calls, planning and prioritizing a day, selecting suppliers or vendors or partners, which is more relevant

to agencies in most cases, planning your sales funnel, planning social media campaigns, writing some sales copy, delegating or automating complex tasks and evaluating data and marketing experiments. Now these are things that you're going to be spending a lot, lot, lot of time on as your business grows. Things are valuable. These are extremely valuable tasks, not quite as valuable, they're not the most valuable tasks. We'll get into

those in a minute, but they're extremely valuable and they are the tasks that a CEO, that the owner of a growing agency should be doing. Now, let's get into the most valuable tasks. These are the high value tasks that bring in $1,000 per hour on average for businesses in the startup stage. So we have expanding into new markets, establishing new distribution, negotiating deals, creating your business's positioning,

creating new products and offers, deciding on data or trends to act upon, mapping out sales funnels, webinars or public speaking, so any form of leveraged exposure, selecting team members or final interviews, creating some systems and absolutely anything to do with this program. So these are extremely high value tasks. The more time you spend on these, the quicker your business just accelerates beyond belief. All of this is

highly leveraged work and it all has a huge, huge, huge impact on your future and creating the business and life that you want. These are the tasks that you want to spend as much time as possible. Okay, so after you watch this video, when you're going through the worksheets, you want to use the worksheet that I've included to calculate your intended daily values so you're going to

reverse engineer how much value per day you need to produce based on your quarterly revenue goal and then you're going to use the daily review process, also provided, and the personal metrics spreadsheet, you're going to update them and go through them on a daily basis to ensure that you're hitting, on average, your intended daily value. So you're going to always know whether or not you're working on

enough valuable activities to hit your goals. So use the worksheet and calculate your intended daily value and then on a daily basis, go through the daily review process and update your personal metrics spreadsheet and you will just absolutely accelerate forward and you'll learn how to consistently and reliably smash your goals. So what does this do over the long term? Well, calculating daily value gives you a downright

predatory instinct for bringing cash and value into the business. You know how some entrepreneurs just like always struggle and when they succeed, it's sort of luck and they just stumble it into something, but other entrepreneurs, you know, you could go as high as like Steve Jobs and Elon Musk or people in online business, you know, Russell Brunson, Ruby, Sethi, a lot of great names that you can

think of that just have a predatory instinct for knowing what markets to go into, knowing how to work on their business and how to create results. And it comes from being tightly, tightly in touch with the critical activities that they need to work on, the things that create the most value. So calculating and being in touch with your daily value gives you a downright predatory instinct for

bringing cash and value into the business and this will completely change the game for your life and allow you to get closer to your dream life to actually achieve it and to move towards it more quickly than you probably ever thought possible. So that's it for how to maximize your value per day, go through the worksheet provided and I'll see you in the next video.
